Uveitis has a high relapse rate, often triggered by infection, fatigue, stress or immune fluctuation. Data mention about 50% of people will have one or more relapses in the first two years, and many people need follow-up from months to years. Sometimes a simple cold can set it off. To reduce relapse besides taking medication, lifestyle is also important: don’t stay up late, prevent infections, and keep a stable mood. I myself relapsed after a cold; that period affected my studies and emotions. Now I pay more attention to rest and don’t overdraw myself anymore.
