Examining children needs skill. Commonly used are slit lamp, fundus exam, non-contact tonometer and blood tests (including antibodies and HLA typing), combined with systemic symptoms for judgment. Sometimes specific tests like anti-Toxoplasma antibody are needed to rule out parasitic infection. Parents’ cooperation in providing history and observation records helps doctors make quick judgments, saving time and reducing the child’s discomfort.
